|Beautiful area at the North Virgin River Dam Boondocking provides a nice view at the edge of a small canyon. I’ve hiked around and I believe that this is one of the best and most scenic spots to camp. Stake your tent down, it can get pretty windy. Cold nights and frosty mornings this time of year, mid October, 2021.
We appreciate people looking for awesome camping opportunities. Please be aware that much of the land off of Virgin Dam Road is actually privately owned. We will attach a map under photos for reference. Please camp on Public Lands only, and please Leave No Trace. May be closed by owners soon do to abuse.
We loved camping here. The dirt road was a little rough on our mini van and we didn’t make it all the way to the GPS coordinates because it was too rocky, but we stayed at a pull off right before the final turn that had two established fire pits. We had plenty of space to ourselves, the views were fantastic, and we had a short 5 minute walk to the cliff with a view of the dam. There were even several cracks and caverns to explore. We stayed in a tent at the beginning of May and it didn’t get too cold or windy at night.
