Best Review

The available campsites are 2.5 miles in up a steep dirt road. I and had a great experience. However, just spent a very wild night experiencing very intense thunderstorms with lighting strikes within a few hundred feet. Had to retreat from the tent to my FJ for safety. Further, the night-long rain that followed did leave the road very soaked and slippery. Made it out without incident, but ran in 1st gear, low-range and concentrated on not breaking traction. I did not the warning on the way in that the road is “impassable” in snow or wet conditions, but the storm we experienced was a surprise to many in the greater basin, not just us. However, stunning views of Zion and great rainbows & “god beams” through the broken clouds.
